Dear Santa!

Each December, hundreds of thousands of “Letters to Santa” arrive at the United States Postal Service throughout the country. Operation Santa helps Santa Claus read his mail then organizes Postal employees, individuals and corporations to respond to children in need. Formally commenced in 1912 at the General Post Office in New York City, this is now a nationwide program.

Operation Santa Letter San Diego is a private effort specifically designed to bring attention to the existence of this program now in San Diego County. With the support of local elves who will spread the word about this program and participate in helping to make children’s wishes come true, it is our hope that this program will continue to grow here in San Diego in much the same way it has grown in New York City. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by the United States Postal Service.

Help us foster the spirit of the holiday season here in San Diego by either contacting us and arranging to adopt a Santa letter or by helping us to spread the word to needy children and their families here in San Diego.

May the spirit of the holidays be alive in San Diego this holiday season and throughout the coming year!
